About the store
Hello, fellow Director! My name is Kelsey, and I have been teaching & directing drama for 8 years to students of all ages. I teach theatre because it helped me heal. In middle school, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. My theatre teachers mentored me, supported me & showed me that my creativity was valuable. I want to be that guiding light for my students, and help you be a light for your pupils as well. As you may have discovered, teaching theatre is HARD. It’s not like other subjects; no one plans your lessons for you. You are likely the only teacher that does what you do in your school. I want you to know that you are not alone. Whether you are a veteran theatre teacher with tried & true lessons that wants a fresh take, or you’re still trying to figure this career out, I have proudcts that can help. I hope you’ll come back to my TPT page as I continue to grow it. Together, we can take some of the stress off your shoulders so you & students can focus on creating & connecting.

Teaching style

Project Based Learning (PBL) is the core of what I do. It's hands-on, Montessori-style education, where students have choices and get learn how to think critically to solve problems. I find that when I teach students the basics and provide them a set of checkpoints, they thrive in the freedom. This comes only after I have strictly taught them how to use supplies and respect each other in class. I like to incorporate a lot of fun, hence the squirrel theme.
