Have a workbook the students can fill out on their own independent group time

DAY 1 or 2 of your script or play writing unit. Have them brainstorm and learn about formatting as they start working on their plays.

This is a very basic beginning level workbook to help students learn formatting for a script and how it varies from other writing like in a book for example. They will be able to identify different parts of the script format, rewrite the script format and get examples on a script. Use this as a starting point and add your own elements or change how you want them to write their scripts for you!
