I use this crossword puzzle to introduce the following vocabulary terms: qualitative observation, inference, and prediction. We read the text as a class and highlight important definitions. We discuss examples of each term found in the classroom. Then, students complete the crossword puzzle either individually or with a table-partner. All of the answers can be found in the text.
