Practice with blending CVC onset/rhyme in the following word families:
-at, -ap, -op, -og, -ot, -ut, -ug, -ub, -it, -ig, -et, -en
There is also a picture included for each word, so that students can build a word, blend it,and then find the matching picture.
You can also laminate the cards, and have students make the word by writing in the onset letter with a dry erase marker.
These are great for guided reading groups, and students who are having difficulty blending CVC words.
These are the sight words from the Kindergarten Reading Street curriculum. Place all the cards in a pile. If the student reads the word correctly, he keeps the card. If the student gets a "zap" card, he loses all of his cards. You can also use these as flashcard practice for sight words.
Update: I also included a page with blank boxes for you to add your own sight words.
