I am a naturally reflective person who enjoys organization and challenges. It is these skills that have driven my exploration of how to best assess and educate tomorrow's scientists.
I am driven by the goal that my courses can meet all students and their diverse learning and achieve a sense to success for them all. Through self-reflection, feedback, opportunities and assessments, students are challenged to communicate their knowledge, use evidence to support their ideas, ask questions and design procedures to test them, critically thing when doing analysis or evaluation of both data and resources, and to apply their knowledge to ethics and perspectives about our world.
Beyond the classroom, I coordinate greenhouse and pollinator programs, student sustainability initiatives, and international field experiences. These projects shape my TPT resources to be practical, innovative, and directly connected to real-world science.
