Describing Life Science Art
This engaging first-day activity gets your students thinking artistically about life science! As they are introduced to the major topics to be covered during the class, they design a piece of artwork conveying what they think "life science" means. It’s a simple, low-prep way to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere while giving you the chance to observe personalities and allow students to create a wall collage for display!

Teaching style
As Ms. Frizzle says: Take Chances, Make Mistakes, Get Messy!
She really is my hero and I strive to give my kids as many authentic, hands-on science experiences as possible. I want them to fall in love with the scientific process and constantly ask "but why? how? what happens next? what if?". The more they talk to each other, engage in debate, and offer new information they've found on their own, the better class it is!!
