Show-and-Tell Question Prompts that support teachers to model and guide children to ask meaningful questions.
I have used this with my kindergarten group and it has improved the quality of their questions over time!
Teacher can print this out and ask children 'Is it an object, an experience or a book?' Then the teacher can model thinking 'Hmm... What do I want to know more about this?' 'I might ask Felix "How do you feel about the trip?"' etc.

Laminate the checklist and it can be a regular resource to be used in the classroom. As children go out to the yard, children can be involved in checking for hazards in the yard, using a whiteboard marker to record their findings. I often ask children to write their names next to their symbol so that we know who checked what.
