As educators, we believe in challenging students to think about their own experiences, passions, and stories in order to influence course content and make it relevant and meaningful for the students. We believe that learning should be hands-on and experiential wherever possible. We recognize the necessity of creating inclusive learning environments that allow diverse learners to thrive and reinforce that culture of acceptance, openness, and inclusivity. As counsellors, we have both worked to build safe spaces where we treat students with unconditional positive regard, respect, and empathy.
