Do your students realize the amount of food and garbage that each of them throws away each school year? This handout provides a visual that quickly shows students HOW much garbage they may be creating and what they can do to reduce, reuse and recycle. This can be posted in the classroom or lunchroom to promote this important message.

Teaching style
I feel strongly that environmental education needs to be integrated into the current curriculum at every level. We cannot expect students to care about and take steps to preserve our environmental if they do not understand the fundamental terminology and issues that affect their world.
