About the store
I began my teaching career at an inner city Charter School, where I had to develop my own resources and lessons due to the lack of resources. Now I teach in a district where low socioeconomic status is the norm. I choose to look at this as a challenge to be better and more creative, rather than letting the low funding and little resources stifle my students' learning and progress. You'll find just a few of the things that I have created to make learning more interactive and fun in my classroom.

About the store

Experience

I began my teaching career at an inner city Charter School, where I had to develop my own resources and lessons due to the lack of resources. Now I teach in a district where low socioeconomic status is the norm. I choose to look at this as a challenge to be better and more creative, rather than letting the low funding and little resources stifle my students' learning and progress. You'll find just a few of the things that I have created to make learning more interactive and fun in my classroom.

Teaching style

I love data, and I love games - both are prevalent in my classroom! My students are responsible for tracking their progress, and I'm responsible for teaching them and giving them the tools and resources they need to succeed. Sometimes these resources are games and activities, and other times they are pretests, quizzes and post-tests. It all depends on the duties of the day. I try to vary my teaching and strategies from day to day.

My own education history

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Middle Childhood Education for Math and ELA in 2014. Since then I have attended workshops and professional developments to stay up to date on new strategies and best practices.
