rhyming, root word, synonyms, antonyms, suffix, prefix

This is a printable product made through PowerPoint. You can add more signs if you choose. This includes signs for rhyming, root words, synonyms, antonyms, suffix and prefix. I work with Deaf and these were things that they had a hard time getting so I made reference posters for them. I highly recommend printing these in color and printing them.

This is a general 5th grade exit ticket. It asks four things: 1. What is something I learned today? 2. What is something I enjoyed today? 3. One question is still have is? 4. What would I like to do tomorrow? This is really great for each individual lesson or just a summary of the day. This was used in the 5th grade class. They were expected to write complete sentences and using correct grammar. This is printable pdf but not customizable.

The image used was found using Google (no copyright infringement intended) and can be replaced with whateve

About the store

Experience

I am currently an assistant in the classroom, substitute teacher, and classroom interpreter for the Deaf. I am working on getting my teacher license and look forward to that day. I have spent the last four years in the classroom. I have developed lessons, planned activities, created countless worksheets, PowerPoints, Word documents, and other materials for the the teachers and students I work with.

Teaching style

Currently I prefer visual and hands on since the students I work with are primarily visual. Ultimately though, I think a little of everything can be helpful depending on the students.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I graduated with Honors from American Intercontinental University (Online).

My own education history

Graduated MacMurray College with and AA in Interpretation for the Deaf (under the education department as it was not a foreign language at the time). Graduated American Intercontinental University (Online) with a BA in Business Administration.

Additional biographical information

I have worked with and been part of the Deaf community for well over ten years. In college I lived and worked at the Illinois School for the Deaf. Now I currently work in another Deaf school (I do not wish to share which one at the time) and have been for the past four years. I have found that I absolutely love being in the classroom because of these experiences (not just working with Deaf but special needs in general). I look forward to continued learning and one day having my own classroom with my own special students. =)
