I have taught third and fourth grade in a public school setting for 7+ years, serving as the Instructional Team Leader (ITL) and Instructional Intervention Team (IIT) Representative. I have served as a mentor teacher for preservice teachers and nontenured teachers for 4+ years. I have also worked as the Professional Development School (PDS) Site Liaison for my school district and Towson University for numerous years. I have worked for University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) serving as their Site Supervisor and Local School System Liaison, supervising the teacher interns. I have also taught Delivery of Instruction for Effective Teaching and Learning for many years to assist teachers in improving their instructional practices.

Teaching style
I love academics and focusing on improving student learning. I am thorough, planned, systematic, and structured in approach. I love aggregated data and analyzing the details to inform my instruction. I am always thinking, analyzing, and reflecting. On the other hand, I am an ideas girl! I love all things creative, colorful, and fun. Kids learn best when they are emotionally connected to the content and to their teacher. Behind the scenes I am carefully analyzing and planning everything to a tee, in the classroom I am engaging, empathetic, and enjoying making memories with my little learners!
