Idea Journal - higher grades
This is a journal that students love to keep. The stressor is that what is graded is not the mechanics, it's the thought. What do they have inside them that they can bring out? They can include art, as well as the other many things that are listed on the list. Some guidelines are also covered when the item is *d (ie write a skit, etc). This idea is for older writing grades, 4th or higher.
4th - 7th

Inventions Class Project
This project is created to use up time, but also to have groups work together to create a poster board book of an invention per month. Students will independently research an invention by month (ie some product created in January) and will then make a poster about the facts, and then all 12 posters will be added together to create a book. Be creative with splitting up groups if you have a crazy large class. Students do need time to research their month of inventions before they are able to wo

This is not a mega-assignment. The instructions are for a fun, at-home, project to do before halloweeen. There are no write ups, or assignments due with this project, but there are instructions on what to do and ideas to complete it. Please email me if you'd like the word format after the pdf is downloaded. I uploaded as a pdf in order to preserve the fonts.

Teaching style
I am a teacher who will give kids the road map, but they have to do the learning. I am big on group projects, individual projects, peer teaching, active learning, and 21st century learning is one of my specialties.

I love to create. I've taught for a long time, and I am still revamping things to make them more fun, and more interesting to the kids. I am very excited to be apart of this website, as we all know that teachers are HIGHLY underpaid for their time in the industry...
All of my docs are in pdf format because I am a freak about great fonts. If you buy my product, but need it edited, please email me and I will email you the word doc (but it will come out with gerbally fonts that can easily be fixed).
