Thanksgiving Black Friday extra credit activities
This is a great set of activities to do when the Thanksgiving Black Friday holiday is approaching. It includes math and writing and the current math is up to about 3rd grade. See the Winter Specials for higher dollar values. Students are asked to pretend to spend money, write story problems, create receipts, etc.

Strategies for Multiplication
This is a homework sheet I created for students to use after I teach the four strategies of multiplication. Since Common Core is all about using different strategies, this homework asks that students use ALL four ways to complete the multiplication problem. These problems are from 2x2 to 2x4 digit multiplication (ie as small as 25 x 34 up to 24 x 2356). Students are required to use each strategy at least twice, and then may use the strategy of their choice for the remaining problems. This w

I am a teacher who will give kids the road map, but they have to do the learning. I am big on group projects, individual projects, peer teaching, active learning, and 21st century learning is one of my specialties.

I love to create. I've taught for a long time, and I am still revamping things to make them more fun, and more interesting to the kids. I am very excited to be apart of this website, as we all know that teachers are HIGHLY underpaid for their time in the industry...
