I certified to become a National Board Certified Teacher in 2001 and Renewed in 2011. I am a recipient of the Best Buy Teach Award and the Oppenheimer Grant.

My own education history

I received my B.A. from Michigan State University. In 2000, I received my M.A in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. In 2009, I acquired a second Masters in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
