About the store
With 24 years in education, I bring deep experience and heart to everything I create. I’m certified and highly qualified to teach all areas of special education, Pre-K through 12th grade, in Georgia and Florida. Over the years, I’ve served as an ESE Department Chair, MTSS Coordinator, IEP Coordinator, Clinical Educator, and lead teacher, supporting students, teachers, and school systems with equal passion. Much of my work has focused on self-contained, community-based instruction settings, helping students build independence, transition into supported employment, and access meaningful life experiences. I’ve also taught in virtual settings, creating engaging online lessons and adapting materials for digital platforms to ensure every learner stays connected and supported, no matter the format. Throughout my career, I’ve mentored new teachers and shared my original and adapted resources across schools and districts. I’m thrilled to offer them here—materials rooted in real classrooms and virtual spaces, designed for real students, and built to support real teachers. Whether you’re looking for differentiated academics, behavior supports, or life skills tools, these resources are compassionate, creative, and ready to use.

Classroom Organization and Sub Notebook Template for a Clutter Free Classroom

Created by
EdTech in Bloom
This template is based on FlyLady's Control Journal for Teachers. This is the basis for my sub notebook and helps my class run smoothly in my absence (and on days that I'm only present in body, not in spirit). :-) I have used this template in my classroom to ensure that the things that my students bring into the classroom find homes and to help me keep up with the vast amount of paper that finds its way to my desk. Tailor it to fit your class. Enjoy!

Experience

With 24 years in education, I bring deep experience and heart to everything I create. I’m certified and highly qualified to teach all areas of special education, Pre-K through 12th grade, in Georgia and Florida. Over the years, I’ve served as an ESE Department Chair, MTSS Coordinator, IEP Coordinator, Clinical Educator, and lead teacher, supporting students, teachers, and school systems with equal passion. Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in flexibility, creativity, and inclusion. I’m a tech-loving educator who brings technology into every lesson—whether that’s through interactive tools, digital visual supports, or multimedia platforms that keep students engaged and connected. I believe in meeting students where they are, so I modify every lesson and material to fit their unique strengths, communication styles, and learning goals. Whether I’m teaching in person or online, I design lessons that are hands-on, meaningful, and built to support independence. I balance high expectations with high support, and I thrive on finding innovative ways to make learning accessible, joyful, and real-world relevant for every student.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my 24 years in education, I’ve been honored to lead, mentor, and advocate both inside and beyond the classroom. I’ve been nominated twice for Teacher of the Year, received awards for “performance beyond the call of duty,” and am known for my commitment to both students and staff. I currently serve as my school’s Transition and Extended School Year (ESY) Lead Teacher, where I help guide students through life beyond school—whether that means preparing for supported employment, building independence, or engaging in meaningful community-based instruction. I’ve also worked as a GAA Lead Teacher and consulted with educators across campuses to support best practices in special education. Some of my most fulfilling moments come from helping students achieve goals others thought were out of reach—and from mentoring new teachers who go on to become strong, compassionate leaders in their own right. These are the bright spots that keep me inspired every day.

Additional biographical information

I'm a mom, wife, and lifelong educator who finds joy in growing things—whether that’s a garden full of butterflies, a child’s confidence, or a fresh idea in the classroom. When I’m not teaching or creating resources, you’ll find me digging in the dirt, cooking something delicious, dancing in the kitchen, or catching waves when I can. I’m passionate about wellness, community, and making learning meaningful. My life is a mix of mindfulness, creativity, and a whole lot of love—and that spirit flows into everything I create for students and teachers.
