Hang this in your classroom for students to try easy fixes for the most common Chromebook issues. This is also great to send home with families a few times each year if your students take their devices home regularly. This Google Slides is editable if you'd like to change the theme color, add in your district's wifi name, or change any troubleshooting steps specifically for your district.

As a teacher, it's exhausting thinking of ways students can show their learning outside of multiple choice. Use this simple chart to provide new ideas! This graphic does not include instructional videos or links, but is a one-page design that is meant to be a reminder on various ways for our students to show what they know (that aren't multiple choice).

Use this Google Sites Rubric to set expectations for student-created Google Sites and assess their sites. The rubric is a Google Doc and can be used within an LMS or printed copies for each student. The rubric allows space to add your own descriptions and expectations. It was originally created for use with a Middle School Technology Applications class, but can be used 4th Grade and up.

Teaching style

I believe relationships and engagement are the most important factors in a classroom. Students don't want to learn from someone they don't like and won't learn in a classroom they find boring. Every lesson I teach addresses content standards as well as building relationships and increasing engagement.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was named District Elementary Teacher of the Year as an Instructional Technology Specialist in 2020. This was the only time an ITS has ever been named Teacher of the Year in our district.
