I never explicitly learned grammar in school, but I knew about nouns, verbs, etc. because I loved making silly stories with Madlibs! These are some silly stories with blanks that have Montessori symbols (and what they mean) printed underneath. Lower Elementary intro to animal research: start by placing a picture (or model) of an animal in the center, and placing one question under it.
