I never explicitly learned grammar in school, but I knew about nouns, verbs, etc. because I loved making silly stories with Madlibs! These are some silly stories with blanks that have Montessori symbols (and what they mean) printed underneath. One child (or adult) asks for each word from the group, writes them in the correct space, and then reads the whole thing aloud when complete. 3 separate stories with nouns, verbs, and adjectives (the 3rd also has adverbs).
