The expectation, however, is the student completes their assignment first before they can have the break -- a First (you do this)/Then (you get this) scenario. How It Works: we show the student the chart and explain what happens when the chart is filled

Unique Desktop Name Tags - Motivate & Remind Students to follow Expected Behavior This past year has been one heck of a year. Students have been jumping out of their seats like they have ants in their pants! Working with students, I've noticed they don't remember to use the resources on their nametags (like number lines, how to write a letter, left from the right hand, shapes, etc.) but they do widdle the name tags, unpeel them, yada, yada, yada! Experience

Hi, I’m the creator of Educated Designs—where I help teachers build calm, creative classrooms with visual tools and supports that do more than check boxes. My resources are made to simplify routines, support student needs (especially in special ed), and make your day run smoother so you can focus on what matters: teaching.

Teaching style

I believe in visual structure, flexible routines, and supporting neurodiverse learners through calm, consistent classroom practices. My tools are designed to help teachers meet real-world classroom needs without reinventing the wheel.

Awards & shining teacher moments

The biggest reward is hearing from teachers who say, “This made my day easier” or “My students finally responded to this!” Every resource I make is classroom-tested and designed to support you and your students.

Additional biographical information

I live outside of Chicago with my husband and our three amazing kids. As a parent and an educator, I’ve seen firsthand how much structure, calm, and visual tools can transform a classroom. That’s what inspired me to start Educated Designs. I create resources that are simple to use, purposeful in design, and crafted with both teachers and students in mind. Outside of school life, I love the outdoors, reading about history, and soaking up time with my family—whether we're playing sports or just enjoying being together.
