This creative workbook will help introduce students to the element of design "colour". Students are able to work through the pages of the book using any materials available to them. The accompanying teacher guide outlines ways the workbook can be used, while outlining curriculum expectations for grade 3 students (Ontario Visual Arts curriculum). This resource can also be used for other primary/junior classrooms!

This fun composing activity is a great way for students to practice creating 4 bar rhythms! The boxes on the worksheet provide a visual representation for the values of the notes within their creation. The dice element aims to gamify the learning slightly - and has been a big hit with students of all ages! Feel free to have students add word associations to each box if they are still getting used to rhythms!
