Schedule Cards with Pictures

Created by
EducatingOnEdge
This product is a set of schedule cards with pictures. There are a few that do not have pictures because of what they are. I have included many common subjects/events needed in a school day. I suggest printing off on cardstock and laminating for durability. I use magnet tape and attach the schedule cards for the day on a whiteboard in order of the school day events. The visuals are great for working with lower grade students and English Language Learners. Credits: Images courtesy of Dai

Inferencing Using Pixar Short Film “Feast”- PDF and Digital Version

Pixar Short films have great possibilities to enhance reading instruction, especially for students with low engagement. This activity is great for introducing inferencing. As it has almost no speaking, the students must rely on what they notice and think (background knowledge-schema) about the film, without the distraction of dialogue. This resource has a graphic organizer (front and back) for taking notes during or after the film. It also includes possible answers students may have covering

Since my first year of teaching, this end-of-year cleanup idea has been developed, changing a little each year. This current product is more organized, and has everything you need to make the end-of year cleanup both fun and efficient. It is a competition to gain points for varying levels of tasks needing to be completed. There are leveled tasks worth 1-4 points, with an 8-point

This form is to be used as a quick assessment for testing typing speeds, accuracy, and more that can be determined using the free online test at http://www.typingtest.com. There are three sections to this to save paper. I have included all of the information that the website will give the user when they complete the test. The "test number" on the sheet refers to if you choose to do this assignment several times over the course of the year. You can compare how students performed on each to

Dump and Sort Label for Small Bin for Organizing School Supplies

Have you ever had a class that struggled with keeping the classroom clean? Pencils, markers, and miscellaneous supples strewed all over the floor? This year, I purchased 2- 2pks of mini bins from Dollar Tree, and created this label for them. These bins were placed in different areas of the classroom. Supplies on the floor were picked up, and placed in these bins. Then, using a student job, the supplies would be put back in their correct place. It would obviously be better for students to

Daily Homework Check- Recording Chart

This is a chart you can use to quickly track if students need to complete work by writing in what they are missing. Each student is assigned a number at the beginning of the year, and I use their number in this chart. It has worked well for my classroom! You can print it double sided if desired. Enjoy! ~Heather
