About the store
I have been an occupational therapy assistant since 2016! I work in an alternative learning homeschool cooperative with the majority of students on the Autism spectrum. My first experience with ASD began over 10 years ago when my brother was diagnosed. I quickly learned what a difference OT can make in the lives of children and how it is our duty to make fun AND functional activities to help them gain skills that they need to become independent.

About the store

Experience

I have been an occupational therapy assistant since 2016! I work in an alternative learning homeschool cooperative with the majority of students on the Autism spectrum. My first experience with ASD began over 10 years ago when my brother was diagnosed. I quickly learned what a difference OT can make in the lives of children and how it is our duty to make fun AND functional activities to help them gain skills that they need to become independent.

Teaching style

I believe any child can learn any skill when given the proper supports. I love identifying what they need (a visual, extra practice of a certain skill, etc.), putting those functional supports in place, and watching them soar to excellence and independence with those tasks.

My own education history

I graduated from Arkansas State University in 2016 with my A.A.S. in Occupational Therapy.

Additional biographical information

I am just a pumpkin-loving occupational therapy assistant who strives to make visuals and activities for my work kiddos! I love cooking, browsing Pinterest, and going to the zoo!
