Recess Report

This report can be used for recess monitors to record incidents or arguments that occur when you are not present. I have found that most problems happen at recess when I am not supervising rather than in the classroom. This report gives teachers written documentation for what happened so that parents can be informed if needed. Feel free to edit as you wish.

Take a pencil, leave a pencil

To control classroom pencil use in my classroom. I decided to make this sheet. I keep it on a small clip board near the pencil sharpener. I have a bucket for sharp pencils and a bucket for unsharpened pencils. If students do not sharpen their pencils in the morning and need a pencil during the day, they must write their name down in order to take a new pencil. Since we do a classroom economics program in our class, students must pay me a credit for taking a pencil. This way I can track who is ta

No More Late Work Checklist

I made this form for a few of my students who were having trouble with leaving their work at school or not doing what was written in their planners. They had to mark that they checked their folder, write down the number of unfinished work pages they had left, and then have their parents sign it at home. In the morning, they turned in their sheets and then had me sign their folder. I would reward them for each day they completed their chart.

Experience

This will be my 5th year teaching 3rd grade at a private Christian school. In the past, I taught preschool and 4K. As I was working on my degree in Elementary Education, I was a kindergarten aide. I student taught in 4th grade.

Teaching style

I greatly enjoy hands-on teaching. The more students can be involved in using their bodies and minds the better. I believe that students need educational experiences that will draw on their prior knowledge and motivate them to learn more.
