Students practice how scientists build and revise explanations using everyday evidence. In four rounds, they analyze 16 short text messages about a family, form an initial hypothesis, then revise it as new messages appear. They must support their claims with specific evidence they discover. The activity reinforces that scientific explanations are tentative, evidence-based, and updated with new data, while strengthening claim–evidence–reasoning and collaboration.

This include a PowerPoint for Each of the 14 Fluids Outcomes in the Manitoba curriculum. It also includes a worksheet or project/activity for each outcome in word and PDF format. Also included is a review and multiple choice test. A key is included at the end of every worksheet, activity, review and test.
