She works with fifth graders in small groups helping them achieve exponential growth in reading and writing. Evelyn has garnered experience at several elementary schools in Houston working as an interventionist for students struggling in math and language arts. TELPAS Writing Samples Checklist
This is a checklist I have created to keep track of student writing samples. In the TELPAS test they require English Learners to have 5 writing samples: 1 to elicit past tense response (Past Narrative), at least two academic samples (I include three ie. math, science, social studies), and one more which is a letter to someone. I staple this slip to each of my students' folders and check off as they complete them.
