I'm Lisa Ward, and I'm excited to share a bit about my journey in education. With over 30 years of experience, I've had the privilege of working as a special education teacher, a content specialist for ISBE and currently work as a Instructional Technology specialist in higher education. (I also teach online courses in education at my college.) I have multiple degrees in education, with a wide and varied background experiences at all grade levels. My passion lies in reducing barriers in the classroom for educators, students and parents alike. I truly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and I work to create inclusive environments that foster learning and growth for all stakeholders. I am committed to fostering collaboration among families and schools, advocating for policies that support equitable access to education, and promoting social emotional well-being within the community.

My own education history

I have an AAS in Early Childhood Education, a BA in Education, and an M.Ed. in Special Education and Instructional Technology.
