This is a focused assessment perfect for most state standards. It focused on rotation and revolution and the effects of those movements. It also emphasizes Earth's place in our Solar System. My students love putting their knowledge to use in this fun wrap up activity on ecosystems. Working cooperatively, they create board games about various topics learned in our fifth grade life science unit. Combined with the idea of reducing and reusing waste, they get creative in bringing home materials from home. If you happen to have a document camera, we've also created short youtube videos demonstrating how to play the game.
