Katy has a degree in Liberal Studies from California State University Northridge. She pursued her teaching credentials until her son was born with several special needs that necessitated her to be home with him. She was able to complete all of her coursework for her elementary teaching credentials before putting her student teaching on hold.
Katy specializes in creating lesson plans and curriculum helpers. She has worked in the public, private, and homeschool sectors for several years.
As a mother of four, she likes to joke that she's repeated every grade several times. She has a sweet spot for children who struggle with learning, as she experienced that first hand with a few of her own children.
