About the store
After 25 years of teaching English (ELA) to Secondary students (Years 7 to 12 in Australia), I have discovered a new passion: creating resources. Building my EduHive Learning Resources store has been an exciting journey—it’s where I combine my experience and creativity with my love for teaching. I aim to make EduHive a “one-stop shop” for all things classroom. While I’m currently focusing on literary analysis, particularly short stories, I plan to expand the collection. I know how busy educators are. Finding quality, ready-to-use materials can feel overwhelming between lesson planning, marking, and juggling countless other tasks. That’s why I’m here: to save you time and help you deliver practical, engaging lessons that support student success. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming to EduHive: Task cards for group or independent activities Poetry analysis guides to make poetry accessible and enjoyable Anchor charts for displaying key literary concepts Study guides to help students confidently navigate texts Creative writing prompts to inspire imagination Having taught in Middle and High Schools in Australia, I have developed an understanding of the diverse needs of students and teachers. Now living in California for three years, I am gaining fresh insights into the American education system and designing resources that suit Australian and American classrooms, complete with region-specific spelling and punctuation. I’m also committed to incorporating HIPs (High-Impact Practices, US) and HITTS (High-Impact Teaching and Learning Strategies, AU) into my materials. These proven methods actively engage students and are designed to maximize learning outcomes. At EduHive, my mission is simple: to create accessible, inclusive, and purposeful resources. Whether you are in Australia, the USA, or elsewhere, I am here to support your teaching journey and help make your job a little easier. Thank you for visiting, and I hope EduHive becomes a valued part of your teaching toolkit!

Teaching style

I believe in direct, explicit instruction, which I reinforce with student-focused scaffolded activities. I aim to create fun, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing resources that students enjoy using. I also focus on creating standalone materials with clear instructions so teachers can take a moment to breathe, knowing their students are purposefully engaged in meaningful learning tasks. As someone who understands teachers' heavy workloads and potential burnout, I am currently designing resources that ease their burden while providing high-quality instruction and activities.
