I have worked in the private, Australian Early Education sector for thirteen years, with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) from Macquarie University.
During my first few years of teaching, it quickly became apparent that there was a real need for educators to have specific knowledge in helping children with Additional Learning Needs feel successful in the mainstream classroom. With this in mind, I completed a Master of Special Education through Macquarie University. This postgraduate study instilled a passion in me to ensure all students have the opportunity to access their learning curriculum.
With a passion for lifelong learning, I have also completed The Power of Making Thinking Visible through the Harvard Graduate School of Education. This provided me with insight and skill into extracting the thinking of all students in my classes, helping every student find their voice - regardless of learning ability.
I am well equiped to create learning resources for the Early Years and students with Additional Learning Needs - let's create inclusive classrooms together!
