Experience

I have 30 years of teaching experience. I taught 7 years in 2nd grade, 8 years in 5th grade and 7 years in first grade. I have taught a 1st/2nd combo and a 2nd/3rd combo. I also have been teaching education classes at our local Community College for the 15 years and I taught virtually for 3 of those years and have loads of experience in teaching online. Teaching style

I am a creative, out of the box type of teacher. I have ADHD and so I truly understand the viewpoint of those children who can not sit still and need to be moving. I enjoy taking "normal" lessons and activities and making them "extraordinary".

Additional biographical information

My hobbies are definitely a little different -- I am fortunate enough to be a member of a family dirt bike racing team. My husband, son (26), daughter (24) and myself all travel up and down the East Coast and race in several Dirt Bike Hare Scramble series. I am also super active in my gym and have my Crossfit and Crossfit Kids Certification.
