Teaching style

I am a creative, out of the box type of teacher. I have ADHD and so I truly understand the viewpoint of those children who can not sit still and need to be moving. I enjoy taking "normal" lessons and activities and making them "extraordinary".

Awards & shining teacher moments

Teacher of the Year at VES 2014-2016 Awarded the Bright Ideas Grant 2015 to purchase Bee Bots and Osmos for my classroom. Chosen to present at NCTIES 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2024 Chosen to participate in the development of our 2016-2018 BCPS Technology Plan

My own education history

I have multiple degrees: BS in elementary educations, MA in elementary education, MA in administration and am Nationally Board Certified.

Additional biographical information

My hobbies are definitely a little different -- I am fortunate enough to be a member of a family dirt bike racing team. My husband, son (26), daughter (24) and myself all travel up and down the East Coast and race in several Dirt Bike Hare Scramble series. I am also super active in my gym and have my Crossfit and Crossfit Kids Certification.
