I have six years of experience as a classroom teacher and currently work in Early Literacy. I began my career in Philadelphia as a Kindergarten Teacher. After achieving my Library Science certification, I continued working in urban education with PK-6 students. About the store

Experience

I have six years of experience as a classroom teacher and currently work in Early Literacy. I began my career in Philadelphia as a Kindergarten Teacher. After achieving my Library Science certification, I continued working in urban education with PK-6 students. Now, I create resources for teachers and support students with phonics, reading, and writing skills.

Teaching style

I believe in the power of peer collaboration. I love learning centers and small group work! The more students can work together to solve problems and create new things, the more effective their education will be.

My own education history

I grew up attending a public elementary school, but switched into private school for middle and high school. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU! I recently obtained my +30 through PDI credits and plan get more in the future. I currently hold two Level II certifications, one in Elementary Education and the other in Library Science. I consider myself a life-long learner!
