About the store
I bring 7 years of hands-on classroom experience across biology, astronomy, and kinesiology—with a strong focus on curriculum design, student engagement, and flipped instruction. I’ve built full-course frameworks from scratch, raised pass rates in high-stakes testing environments, and helped students connect content to the real world. Whether launching an astronomy course that boosted scores from 55% to 75%, or implementing a flipped classroom model that outperformed high school biology benchmarks, I’ve consistently delivered results that matter. Beyond the classroom, I’ve led teams of educators as a department head, delivered professional development to 100+ teachers, and coached student-athletes in wrestling and volleyball. I specialize in taking big concepts and making them clear, accessible, and meaningful for students at all levels. My work is rooted in strong pedagogy, high expectations, and the belief that students thrive when given the tools and structure to take ownership of their learning. Now, I’m channeling that experience into ready-to-use resources that empower teachers and help students succeed—with purpose, clarity, and a little extra spark.

Experience

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in clarity, connection, and student ownership—and nothing embodies that more than my use of the flipped classroom model. I believe learning should be active, not passive. By shifting direct instruction outside of class time, I free up the classroom for deeper thinking, hands-on application, and real discussion. This approach has not only increased student engagement but consistently led to higher test scores and stronger comprehension across the board. My flipped lessons are structured to make content accessible, but never watered down. Students come in prepared and ready to do the work—whether that’s analyzing data, conducting investigations, or collaborating on problem-solving tasks. I embed opportunities for self-reflection, peer interaction, and targeted feedback into every unit so students stay engaged and empowered. I don’t just want students to memorize facts—I want them to make connections, ask better questions, and walk away feeling capable, curious, and confident.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Teaching has always been more than a job to me—it’s a craft, a calling, and a chance to spark real change. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of earning recognition not just for what I taught, but for how I taught it. I was named District 2-6A Varsity Girls Assistant Coach of the Year in 2025 and received a Highly-Effective rating on my T-TESS evaluation in 2024. At Keller Middle School, I was honored as a Teacher of the Year nominee, recognized for leading a department that raised state test scores by 15% and boosted cross-curricular student performance by 12%. I’ve also led PD sessions for 100+ educators, implemented flipped classroom models that radically improved student ownership and test scores, and built entire curricula from the ground up—including kinesiology and astronomy courses that turned 0% pass rates into 60–75% success stories. My work in curriculum design, coaching, and instructional systems has consistently been rooted in real results, authentic relationships, and a passion for making learning accessible and meaningful. And while I’m proud of every award and accolade, my favorite "shining moments" are always the ones that come from students—the lightbulb moments, the breakthroughs, and the confidence they carry long after the lesson ends.

My own education history

I’ve built my career on a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to professional growth. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Biology minor and Physical Education certification from the University of North Texas, where I graduated with a 3.72 GPA and earned multiple honors. I later completed my Master of Education in Educational Leadership, graduating #1 in my program with a 4.0 GPA, and I’m currently pursuing an MBA in Human Resource Management at Texas Woman’s University, specializing in Learning & Development. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve been inducted into several honor societies including Tau Sigma, Phi Theta Kappa, and the International Dean’s List Society, and I’ve consistently earned recognition on both the President’s List and Dean’s List. My studies have shaped how I approach teaching and training—combining structure, strategy, and a genuine love of learning to support student and adult success.
