Experience

I bring five years of experience in public school settings, having taught 9th grade Honors Biology. While I’m no longer in the classroom, I now focus full-time on curriculum building. My passion lies in creating inclusive, well-structured resources that support classroom culture through routine, trust, and gamification. With a graduate certificate in Instructional Design, I specialize in designing materials especially helpful for first-year teachers or anyone looking to reduce their planning load without sacrificing quality.

Teaching style

My classroom ran like a well-oiled machine because of strong routines and clear expectations. Students entered ready to learn, grabbing their notes and starting on the bellringer without prompting. Every day brought a new lesson, but the classroom culture remained consistent: engagement, encouragement, and the freedom to make mistakes. I used a mix of strategies in each lesson—balancing direct instruction with student choice in how they received information and demonstrated mastery. Whether using Google Slides, interactive notebooks, or joyful activities that made content stick, my goal was always to make learning student-centered, organized, and enjoyable. Colleagues and supervisors valued how prepared I always was, and my students thrived under high expectations that respected their individual paths.

Awards & shining teacher moments

While I haven't received formal awards, my classroom consistently received high praise from supervisors and peers. During instructional walkthroughs, I was often asked if my classroom could be recorded to model effective lab setup and strong opening routines for other teachers. One of my proudest moments came during my first year of teaching, when I was assigned 9th grade Honors Biology—a subject I was still learning myself. Relying on my instructional design background, I created accessible, engaging lessons for my students, many of whom were English language learners. Despite the challenges, 94% of them passed the state biology exam—a testament to their hard work and the power of thoughtful, inclusive curriculum design.

My own education history

I hold a B.A. in Studio Art and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design and Technology. My background in the arts fuels my creative approach to curriculum design, while my training in instructional design ensures that everything I create is both engaging and pedagogically sound. I'm currently planning to pursue a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology to deepen my expertise and continue developing high-impact resources for teachers and students.

Additional biographical information

I create resources with one goal in mind: to support teachers—especially first-year educators or anyone feeling overwhelmed by the endless materials and responsibilities that come with the job. I know firsthand that teaching isn’t just about standing in front of a class and talking; it’s about designing lessons that keep students engaged through discussion, visuals, games, and more. I genuinely love thinking through all the details that go into a strong, ready-to-teach lesson so that others don’t have to. Starting my TPT store was a natural next step because I enjoy crafting creative, student-centered materials that make teaching smoother and learning more joyful. I hope my resources ease the burden for teachers and help students feel like they’re in the most fun and engaging class of the day.
