Give your students a chance to develop a high-level of proficiency with a ruler in a fun and exciting way! Students move around through a small shopping district through the use of a ruler, and write down what they purchased at each store. Find out how creative some of their purchases can be!
Here is a mystery picture of a cityscape at night using nine different colors. The students first have to identify the fraction shown by the graphics at the bottom, and then convert it to decimal notation,. Then they color each square according to the color indicated by the bottom graphics. There are lots of squares, so expect this one to be more challenging!
Have your students discover the relationship between fractions, decimals and percentages in a fun way by having them color the squares corresponding to the diagrams at the top of the page to uncover a hidden picture.
Students look at a series of repeating patterns on a map. Using the key at the bottom-left of the page, students are to color the map based on the pattern shown in each space. They are trying to find the path to the other side of the map, colored in GREEN, as well as the three pieces of gold, colored in YELLOW.
Students must name all of the fractions on the page, and then match the fraction on the left with it's reduced form on the right.
