Eileen's Hand-Me-Ups

This gift tag includes a cute poem! I painted the students' hands with white paint and they put their handprint on an ornament. When the paint dried, they decorated their snowmen (fingers) and the gift tag was attached! Parents love it and it is a simple but cute craft that will let parents remember how small their child once was!

This is a template that you can tailor to the students in your class. Students trace their names twice, write their names twice, and find the letters to stamp their names in the space provided. This is a great center activity. For my students that need more help, I print enough to make a booklet so they can grab it and practice during center time.

There are two types of paper that students can choose from. One is simple and geared more toward the younger kids. Another one encourages students to write more than one thing about a topic. This is great for a center or station.

This product is split between three trimesters and it is all color coded. It makes a great addition to any focus wall and admin will sure love it!

Put Gummi Bears in three separate containers. (Vinegar, Baking Soda, and Water). Have students make predictions about what might happen to the gummi bears. Make observations and record it in this mini book. Students can draw what they see. To challenge the high-acheivers, have students write a sentence describing their observation. Have fun!

This is a simple format for the TK or Kinders to use for counting collections. I put my counting items in a Ziplock bag and label with letters A-Z. Students know to label the bag, count their items, and show their work. Happy Counting!

These are circle maps with each letter printed in the middle. Students can draw pictures or write words that begin with each letter! Makes a great center if you have brainstormed as a whole group.

Have your students hunt for sight words around the room! I have the sight words that you can print in different colors. Cut out the words and tape them around the room for your students to hunt! They will love using a clipboard and searching for their sight words.

Julia Cook is a wonderful author! She wrote a book called A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue. I made an anchor chart and sketched out parts of the book with my students. We discussed the four rules and practiced various situations. This was a great beginning of the year activity and it greatly helped my young students figure out the difference between tattling and telling!

I put these out for a fun station. Students can make list of anything they'd like to. I also provided a few ideas if you'd like to give prompts to your students.

For my Penguin unit, I used this during math centers. The students had goldfish crackers and modeled various math equations and got to eat a fun snack as well! I printed mine out and laminated a class set. It's great for whole group or small group instruction! I hope you and your students enjoy!
