7+ years of doing what I loved the most: teaching math to young folks from underrepresented communities. My teaching philosophy is centered on implementing trauma-informed and PBIS practices in the classroom knowing that all of my students are capable of mastering the learning objectives. My area of expertise includes creating scaffolded material for newcomer students so that they can, not only be able to access the content material, but also to build, develop, and practice their English literacy skills.
