This product was designed to function both in a physical learning environment as well as in a distance/ virtual or hybrid learning environment. It seems there is never enough time for students to work on Word Work or Spelling in my reading block. Our new reading program has a prescribed spelling curriculum that we're expected to cover so I had to come up with something engaging and viable. Students can work on this notebook for morning work or a bell ringer, as a station OR at home for homew

Experience
I have taught ELA in multiple grades in a large urban school district for more than 20 years. My favorite of those multiple grades is 4th grade.
Teaching style
I am very much a student centered teacher with extremely high expectations for all learners. I meet students where they are and move them forward as they are ready. I also put a strong emphasis on building relationships with students, and I truly believe that if I expect it, they will learn.
