My mother and I combined have 20+ years in education. My mother (Judy Brown) worked in the special education field and the 2nd grade classroom. She is still involved with children through systematic testing 3 times a year. She also tutors students in reading. I (Rachel Thiry) will start my 5th year in the 3rd grade classroom. I love having a classroom where my students explore and discover! Through a combination of large group, small group, and individual lessons I work with my students.

My own education history

I (Judy Brown) have earned degrees in Elementary Education grades 1-8, Cross Categorical PreK-12, and Learning Disabilities 1-12. Recently I've been enjoying taking classes focusing on technology. I (Rachel Thiry) have earned a degree in Elementary Education grades 1-8. I have also recently been enjoying taking classes that focus on the integration of technology in the classroom.
