My mother and I combined have 20+ years in education. My mother (Judy Brown) worked in the special education field and the 2nd grade classroom. She is still involved with children through systematic testing 3 times a year. She also tutors students in reading. I (Rachel Thiry) will start my 5th year in the 3rd grade classroom. Valentine's Day Math - Perfect Match
Perfect Match is a wonderful center activity for Valentine’s Day math. Students solve 2- and 3-digit subtraction math equations and match the answer card to the equation card. Equations are varied levels of difficulty. Some students may be able to mentally calculate the answers.
Perfect Match is part of my Valentine’s Day math class rotations.
Perfect Match can also be used as a scoot-type activity.

I (Judy Brown) have earned degrees in Elementary Education grades 1-8, Cross Categorical PreK-12, and Learning Disabilities 1-12.
Recently I've been enjoying taking classes focusing on technology.
