A child in elementary school should read independently every day. But how is a busy teacher supposed to make sure that each student is getting in that crucial time? Use Elementary Aryn's Read and Respond Log! I use this as a nightly reading homework assignment, and there is a place for parent signatures. Teaching style
My classroom is a relaxed environment, but I'm no slacker! I pride myself on making my expectations known upfront, and then empowering my students to make responsible choices. I get to know my students on a personal level, and love to use humor to spice up the day. As Charlie Chaplin said, "A day without laughter is a day wasted!"
