I just completed my first full year of teaching Computers to 450 K-5 students. I student taught 9th and 10th grade Social Studies and filled in as a Middle School Computer teacher for 5 months.
Use these four worksheets to teach the beginning of Microsoft Word. After modeling the steps for the students, you can give them these worksheets to complete!

Are your students learning how to keyboard? Use this activity to have them complete the location of the keys. This will help students work on remembering where all the keys are located. It is started to students have to enter in the alphabet and the main function keys such as shift, enter, caps lock, tab, and delete.
Included is a copy of a desktop and mac air keyboard template.
You can always print out these sheets as well to complete by hand!
I have created these simple scales for the computer lab. You have the 1-4 scale as a PDF.

This is a great bulletin board for students that need to learn the shortcuts for a mac computer. Students can use these to refer to as a bulletin board. Each shortcut is on letter sized paper.
The shortcuts included are:
Save, Force quit, Save as, Redo, New, Save, Print, Duplicate, Select All, Undo, Quit, Bold, Italic, Underline, Paste, Cut, and Copy.

This elementary word wall can be used for Technology class. I have added around 100 words that include words for key units: Computer, Microsoft, Apple, Keyboarding, Pages/Word. It has an awesome keyboard keys frame to go with it.
Included in the pack are blank templates so you can insert your own words!

This unit uses the Pages application for word processing. It has been created using the Pages with the Yosemite operating system but will also work with Mavericks and El Capitan. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
