Hey y'all! Shea and Alena here from Elementary Edventures! We are a couple gals teaching together in Virginia and creating some amazing products that benefit the teachers and of course, the kiddos!
We began our journey as new teachers in Virginia. We were placed in 3rd grade together and on the same team so it worked out really well. As the year grew on you could say we became "Teacher BFF's." So far we have taught 2 years in 3rd grade together and then next year we will be moving to 4th grade together! In 4th grade we will be teaching just Math and Core (Social Studies/Science).
We are loving our teacher journey and really cannot wait to see what this year brings.

Hey y'all! Shea and Alena here from Elementary Edventures! We are a couple gals teaching together in Virginia and creating some amazing products that benefit the teachers and of course, the kiddos!
We began our journey as new teachers in Virginia. We were placed in 3rd grade together and on the same team so it worked out really well. As the year grew on you could say we became "Teacher BFF's." So far we have taught 2 years in 3rd grade together and then next year we will be moving to 4th grade together! In 4th grade we will be teaching just Math and Core (Social Studies/Science).
We are loving our teacher journey and really cannot wait to see what this year brings.
Teaching style
We are going to be trying out Flexible Seating this year.
We love, love, LOVE Guided Math Groups.
Hands on activities are our favorite. We are going to try and get more involved with STEM activities this year with our kiddos.
My own education history
Shea has a Master's in Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
Alena has a Bachelor's in Early Childhood (Prek-4) and Special Education (Prek-8) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
