In addition to teaching the science of reading, it's important to develop a student's ability to fluently recognize sight words. These flashcards include the Dolch 220 sight words, which consist of the most common words used in the English language and which are a great foundation into the wonderful world of reading! I made smaller flashcards for the purpose of utilizing less paper while making multiple sets, such as for small group or even individual practice. I highly recommend printing these

The words in this slide deck correspond with my Dolch 220 Sight Word Flashcards, and happen to be color coded to go along with them! I highly recommend using these slides in conjunction with the flashcards for student practice and fluency building. As the lists progress, so will the skills being used in the sentences. Each list will also review any and all words from prior lists. These slides include sentence examples for each word to assist with recognition of the sight words in written text. P
