This freebie can serve as an excellent homework application or as morning work during your teaching of measurement in Kindergarten. Common Core Standards MCC.K.MD.1:Describe measureable attributes of objects; MCC.K. MD.2:Directly compare two objects with a measureable attribute in common. These practice sheets are for your budding mathematicians in Kindergarten (or 1st grade…use as review!) to help in their “further investigations of addition.” The pages are exemplar based math, which helps your students begin to break down the components of a problem as well as begin to show their thought processes. Students will gradually develop their own keys, draw their own pictures, and write number sentences independently after stories have been read to them. 10 sheets of math in all.

Use these as homework or morning work as you teach measurement in Kindergarten. Height, weight, capacity, and length are included. 2 different activities for each area of measurement (weight has an extra!) 9 pages in all. You could also use on your Smartboard as an activator for your lesson!

Addition activities for your budding mathematicians in a cute Valentine/Heart theme. Students use fun manipulatives (like valentine candy, of course!) to solve simple addition problems to 10. Activities include three pages of adding within 10, one page of adding one more, and two pages of finding the missing addend to make 10. Students will also trace the numbers for additional practice. Also included are four colored pages to match the addends to the sum for you to lamin

This set includes “buggy” addition word problems. With teacher guidance, various strategies are used to find each sum including drawing a picture, using a tens frames, and also using a number line to find the sum. Students will write the math sentence and circle the sum. Various key words for addition are also presented. 5 pages of addition.
