Elementary Mayhem

This is a great way to build relationships during the first week of school! Students create a name tag to leave on their desks as you get to know their names. However, inside is where the magic happens. Each day students leave you a comment or a question and you respond each night. Students love reading what you wrote the next morning and are excited to get to know you.

In my classroom, weekly folders are used to send home graded work, flyers from the school, and other need to know information from the teacher. My folders go home on Wednesdays because that is our early release day. Note: If something needs to go home sooner than the next Wednesday I send it home with the student that day.
