6th Grade Envisions Savvas Topic 3 Review Around the Room Activity Print pages 1-8, cut each page in half, hang up around the room. Print Page 9 and 10 front and back, cut in half, use as an answer sheet.
Students can do this activity on a white board, on a paper, or type their answer right on the slides. Teachers could also print and hang up around the room for students to solve. Make it fun by editing the names in the story problems to be people you know around your school. Questions directly align to questions they will see on the test.
Use this half sheet homework checklist to help students organize their weekly assignments. This is especially helpful in situations where a student switches classes (departmentalization), so that all teachers can be a supportive team in helping a student complete organize thier work. Completely editable to fit your classroom needs.
Six story problems from unit 2 that include LCM, multiplying fractions, dividing fractions, and finding equivalent ratios. Print front and back and cut in half (each student gets a half sheet). Use as an exit ticket, quiz, practice, homework, etc. Completely editable on Google Docs.
Print questions and hang around the room for students to walk around and solve. Questions for students to practice include prime factorization, listing factors, listing multiples, finding GCF, finding LCM, and two review questions of finding range and median. Editable on Google Slides. Answer sheet for students (print front to back and cut in half - one page serves two students).
This activity includes true or false questions about data landmarks and how you find them. Students will also find data landmarks within a data set and name questions as statistical or non statistical. This activity is on google slides and is fully editable.
Use these as an exit ticket when learning about the mean and how it is the balance point of a set of data. Print front to back - each page has two copies.
Two Digit by Two Digit Multiplication Around the Room Riddle Activity (editable) Each student will get the riddle sheet that also has space to show work. Tape the problems up around the room. Students will solve and match the letter above the problem with the answer on the riddle sheet. Gets students up and moving while practicing!
I use this hands on lesson to help students understand statistical questions more in depth by putting it into practice (asking others questions and determining if the question is statistical or not). Print the first two pages front to back and cut in half (each student will get a half sheet that is printed front and back).
Use this assignment to have students write their own story problems according to an algebraic equation. Students can solve the problem as well. There are 12 total that equations range from easy to hard.
These 5 problems were used as extra work for students in unit 4 to practice writing expressions based of a story problem.
