There are lessons/slides imbedded specifically to teach about the Underground Railroad. The final 2 slides are links to public videos that I used to help teach the concepts. These slides pair well with readings about slaves trying to escape, such as books like Henry's Freedom Box and stories about Harriet Tubman.

This is a 13 slide overview of the life and accomplishments of Harriet Tubman. I have written it and presented it in a way that an upper elementary student, or middle school student, will understand. At the end I have links to some good videos to add to the lesson. I have used this as a lesson about an important figure of black history, and as an introduction on writing a famous person report.
